National Resistance Front, Herat: In the last 24 hours, four women committed suicide in Takhar, Uruzgan, Daikundi and Herat provinces.
On Sunday night, a young girl committed suicide and died in the area behind the Bazar of Kalafgan district of Takhar province.
An 18-year-old girl in the Dehrawoud district of Uruzgan killed herself by taking opium.
A 17-year-old girl ended her life with a hunting gun on Sunday evening in the Kity district of Daikendi province. She was married.
The main cause of these events is said to be family violence.
Since the occupation of Afghanistan by the Taliban, no institution has investigated cases of violence against women. In addition, the Taliban themselves are the main cause of disappearance sof women from the public space, and the group views women merely as sexual objects.
