Kabul, National Resistance Front: The terrorist Taliban recently has sped up the process of levy and zakat collection to add to its fiscal year budget.
The terrorist group has doubled and, in some places, tripled the taxes on shopkeepers and traders in provinces.
The Taliban have also changed the tariffs of goods after raising taxes on shops.
The public will eventually bore the burden of the Taliban's pressure of paying taxes, levies and zakat.
Meanwhile, some traders and shopkeepers in the country have been forced to close down their businesses in protest of paying taxes multiple times, and those who could not pay were severely beaten.
For instance, peasants have been forced to stop working in the fields after receiving several tithes and zakat from Taliban fighters.
It is worth mentioning that on the one hand, poverty and unemployment, and on the other hand, the Taliban extortion, have put people in a difficult position and forced them to migrate to neighbouring countries.
