National Resistance Front, Panjshir: The Taliban detained two elders who were trying the release of 115 civilians from its captivity.
The Taliban had detained at least 115 civilians from the Dahn e Rewat area of the Dasht-e-Rewat area of Panjshir province.
All of the detainees are farmers and the sole breadwinner of their families. The detainees have been transferred to Dashtak Prison.
The Taliban tortured the civilians and forced them to identify themselves as members of the National Resistance Front.
Several tribal elders took upon them to mediate their release, but the Taliban made their release conditional on bringing down the Resistance Forces from the mountains.
The Taliban have also taken two of the elders hostage and given them two days ultimatum, or the Taliban will do whatever they want with the prisoners if the forces do not come down from the mountains.
The Taliban have also set up checkpoints at the Dahan e Rewat school, and dozens of families have been forcibly relocated from the area.
