Takhar, National Resistance Front: A Taliban insurgent group brutally tortured and killed a former army officer in the village of Verta Baz in Takhar province on Friday evening.
The officer was named "Sayyid Bismillah Sadat" and was arrested a few days ago by Taliban fighters.
It is worth mentioning that twenty days ago, the former police chief of Takhar was captured by the Taliban and is still missing.
