Takhar, National Resistance Front: The Taliban fighters have shot dead a former NDS manager of the Baharak district of Takhar province.
Abdul Zahir, who had served as the NDS manager in the district for ten years, was killed by the Taliban in his home on Thursday night.
Abdul Zahir was a resident of the village of Kotarmeh in the Baharak district of Takhar and had no ties to any group since the fall of the previous government.
The Taliban, meanwhile, are searching for former security forces and firing on children, youth, women and the elderly every day under various pretexts.
